DAME STREET AND LORD EDWARD STREET

VIA LORD EDWARD STREET

FROM DAME STREET TO CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL [VIA LORD EDWARD STREET]

For most of this month I used an old Canon D5MkIII because I am trying to decide what equipment to keep as I plan to switch to using a Sony A1 II and a Fuji GFX100RF ... I will discuss this at a later date. The GPS failed to work today which was a bit annoying.

Dame Street is a significant thoroughfare in Dublin city centre, running east from Temple Bar to Trinity College. It's a bustling street lined with historic buildings, banks, shops, and pubs, and serves as a key route for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Lord Edward Street is a relatively short but historically important street that connects Dame Street to Christ Church Cathedral. It's characterised by its grand civic buildings and its direct view towards the cathedral, creating a strong visual link between the city's commercial heart and its religious past.

Christ Church Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, is one of Dublin's oldest and most iconic structures. Founded in approximately 1030, this magnificent cathedral boasts stunning Gothic architecture, a rich history, and impressive crypts. It continues to be a significant place of worship and a popular tourist attraction.
