AN INTERESTING MUSEUM

I USED A SONY A7RIV AND THE SONY FE 24-70MM GM LENS

A QUICK VISIT TO THE COLLINS BARRACKS MUSEUM [I USED A SONY A7RIV AND THE SONY FE 24-70MM GM LENS]

Visiting Collins Barracks is a must for anyone interested in Irish history or simply looking for a fascinating day out. The museum's diverse collection and the historical significance of the site make it a truly unique experience.

The Sony A7RIV's incredible resolution is impressive. However, I've been eagerly awaiting an upgrade. The recently launched Sony A1 II, with its superior autofocus, faster burst shooting, and enhanced video capabilities, would be a dream for capturing the dynamic range of light and shadow within the barracks. While my A7RIV has a higher resolution, the A1 II's speed and autofocus are what I'm seeking.

Unfortunately, like many others, I'm on a waiting list, and I won't be receiving mine until May. And while my current 24-70mm GM is excellent, I've been eyeing the Sony 28-70mm GM lens. The faster aperture, combined with the updated optics, would be a welcome addition to my kit, especially for indoor architectural and artefact photography, potentially allowing for better low-light performance without drastically increasing the lens's size and weight. I will not purchase the lens until the A1 II is delivered as I may need to consider upgrading some of my other lenses.
