CHARLEMONT LUAS TRAM STOP
Today I decided to have Lunch at Desi Crew on South Richmond Street as it was there first to open for lunch. The tram service makes it very easy for me to visit a huge selection a Dublin restaurants which is great. Today I took me less than twenty minutes to travel from the Broadstone Stop to the Charlemont Stop.
Charlemont LUAS Tram Stop is a busy station located in the Portobello area of Dublin, Ireland. It is situated on the Luas Green Line, which runs from Broombridge to Brides Glen. The stop is elevated and accessible, with platforms that were extended in 2018 to accommodate longer trams.
The area surrounding Charlemont LUAS Stop is vibrant and diverse. It is home to a mix of residential, commercial, and cultural spaces. There are numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes in the vicinity, as well as several parks and green spaces. The Grand Canal is also nearby, offering scenic walks and opportunities for recreation.
Charlemont LUAS Stop is a major transport hub for the south inner city, providing convenient access to areas such as Portobello, Ranelagh, and Rathmines. It is also well-connected to other parts of Dublin via the Luas Green Line and Dublin Bus services.
There are plans to have the planned Dublin Metro service terminate at Charlemont LUAS Stop. This would create a major interchange between the Luas and Metro systems, further enhancing the connectivity of the area. The MetroLink project is currently in the planning stages, with construction expected to commence in the coming years.
