"Forme in Mutazione" on the UCD Campus by Giorgio Zennaro

The University College Dublin (UCD) campus is home to at least 35 examples of public art. Armed with a detailed map, I plan to photograph most of them in the coming months.

Understanding "Forme in Mutazione"

"Forme in Mutazione" translates from Italian to "Forms in Mutation" or "Changing Forms." This title perfectly encapsulates the principles of Concrete Art, which emphasises pure form over the representation of natural objects.

Giorgio Zennaro, a prominent figure in the Concrete Art movement, often explores geometric shapes, dynamic forms, and the interplay of positive and negative space in his work. Examples of his work can be found through online searches. Naturally, "Forme in Mutazione" embodies these qualities.

The sculpture is conveniently located near the lake on the UCD Belfield campus.
