STATUE OF AN ANGEL [CHURCH OF THE NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY IN SAGGART]

Unfortunately, I have been unable to source any information about the statue of an angel featured in my photographs. However, I have supplied some information relating to the church and the village of Saggart and I will publish appropriate photographs within a few weeks.

Saggart's Gothic Revival Church

This elegant Gothic Revival church stands as one of Saggart's most prominent landmarks, visible from nearly all roads leading into the village. Its dominating square tower and subtly ornate exterior make it an excellent example of early Victorian churches in Ireland. While the windows feature elegant stained glass, the interior boasts intricate detailing. The rib vaulting creates a sense of spacious elegance, adding an artistic touch to the nave. A fine church indeed.
